The SMUGS Blog

Thanks so much to Carlo for being the SMUG Scribe at the newly established Long Island SMUG!!  Here is his report:

Long Island was SMUGged for the first time tonight at the Dix Hills Public Library.  Thanks to Asia Lee and her willingness to organize Long Island’s first and only SMUG
(SmugMug Users Group), 15 people of all different backgrounds and skill sets got together to teach, learn and share information about SmugMug and photography.

Everyone got a chance to see how the SmugMug online gallery software can enhance what they do as photographers from a variety of view points.  Asia began by showing some of her work and how she set it up in her gallery.  Asia was followed by several other members who were all very willing to share their experiences with other seasoned SmugMug users as well as with the many newbies that had come down to get a look under the hood.

It was a very easy going and informative meeting with all members participating in one fashion or another. I believe many if not all left with some tidbit of new information to make
their use of the product much more enjoyable and productive.  I know I did.

I know I will be looking forward to our next meeting and am already thinking about how I might apply what I learned tonight.  Many thanks to Asia for getting this rolling.  I suggest you get on the list and come down for the next Meetup on the 3rd Thursday in February.
