How to be judged and be a merit winner at the Louisville SMUG!

This Tuesday was “10 Minutes of Your Time” at the Louisville SmugMug Meetup. It was to get us all ready for April’s Print Competition judged by the KYPPA. We were asked to come with images, questions and empty bellies. Our awesome Smug Leader, Missy Brown, fed us pizza while we addressed each other’s questions about various topics. I was able to speak to our group about the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep organization and my personal LHP Project, which donates sessions to families who are dealing with childhood illness in one form or another – from Down Syndrome to Heart Defects and everything in between.

We also got to hear from Rosemary Brown, from KYPPA, about competition prints and guidelines for entering. She shared some of her merit winners with the group and discussed the different formats and categories for submitting images. All in all, it really got the group excited to dig through our images and find our best of the best in preparation for next month’s Meetup.
